CHURCH EXTENSION FUND NEWS
GOD'S WORD AT WORK

The Church Extension Fund (CEF) mission is to extend God’s Kingdom by boldly and responsibly assisting congregations to acquire land and buildings and by linking investors with congregations.

Christ Lutheran Church is investing in the CEF ministry monthly.

The accounts are increasing and the investments are great.

We could improve on the number of adult accounts as they are only 34 % of the accounts. They also only represent 17 % of the communicate members.

Our K. I. D. S. stamp sales have grown with the increase of the youth now in the congregation.

You can see the attached monthly CEF report of the investments break out. This is posted monthly on the bulletin board along with the current interest rates.

I would like to meet with each of you to discuss having you join the CEF Ministry at no cost. We will pay dividends on you investments and you will know that you savings is working to further the Kingdom of God.

Now is the time to evaluate where you should invest your Income Tax Refund.

Now is the time to open an IRA account to help reduce taxes due for 2005.

CEF can provide for both of the tax saving ideas shown above.

When you compare CEF rates with others keep in mind several items that may not make us equal, other than the percentage rate.

What is your investment supporting and is it Pleasing to GOD.

Please prayerfully consider investing a portion of your money with CEF—the Church Extension Fund Ministry.

I want to thank all of the current investors for their continued support of the CEF Ministry. I also want to encourage all the members that have not yet started their investment program with the Church Extension Fund, to contact your CEF REP and allow your self to feel good. Yes, there is joy in serving and this is just another way.

If you have an account for your children and/or Grandchildren that’s a great way to start investing with CEF. What about yourself? Think about this---if you love being a Christian and hearing the Word of GOD, if you enjoy the comfort of knowing that you are Saved by Jesus Christ who shed His blood for us—then you can share this with others by being an investor in the CEF Ministry.

I am not a salesman, but a CEF Rep appointed to represent the congregation of Christ Lutheran—Fort Worth. For service and assistance in becoming an investor in this GREAT MINISTRY, call your CEF REP, Frank Litt at 817-294-1136 or e-mail flitt@sbcglobal.net.

Some of GOD’s Greatest Gifts are ---- GOD’s unanswered Prayers --

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

May More Than Two People Open A Joint Account ?
Yes. As many names as desired may be used in establishing a joint tenancy. The important thing is that the holders understand the meaning of a joint account.

Which Owner, On A Joint Account, Is Required To Give His Social Security Number ?
We ask for the tax identification numbers of all investors. Texas CEF will report interest earned to the IRS using the tax identification number of the owner listed first on the account.

When Are The Checks Issued On Term Notes ?
Interest on all term notes is paid either quarterly, semi-annually, or annually, or it can be accrued.

Will A Term Note Continue To Earn Interest After Maturity?
Yes. Once a term note reaches the maturity date it is automatically renewed at the then prevailing rates unless surrendered for redemption.

Does CEF Report Earnings To The Internal Revenue Service?
Yes. The Investor will be issued a Form 1099 showing the reportable Interest.

What Happens To The Funds In An “Individual” Account Should That Person Die?
The money becomes a part of the investor’s estate and would be subject to probate along with the balance of the estate.
